Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects

As if our Easter Sunday needed any more wonderment...
after a picnic in the small park adjacent to La Sagrada Familia...
the day continued to amaze as we entered a much larger Park Guell...
commisioned by Gaudi and filled with structures covered in bits of pottery and glass,

its own viaduct,
and walkways surrounded by plants and flowers.

What began as a residential area for rich bourgeoisie,
became a city park in 1922.
Gaudi's own home...
sits elevated above the entrance to the park...
with a perfect shade of pink
and a terrace that screams 'dinner party'!

Once at the top...
views of the park itself and the city beyond...
offer a breathtaking panorama of this lively city.
From the treetops...

it is a place to sit and take it all in...
tranquility.

The weekly photo challenge this week...
 two subjects...
were caught up in the general feeling of the park...
with the sunshine...
cool breeze...
and sounds of music...
floating through the air.
The sound of that single flute was powerful...
but it was another group of musicians who reflected the cheerful emotion of the day.
These guys drew quite a crowd
and Ren Man had to drag me away...
the rest of Barcelona was waiting.

Happy Thursday!
