"What greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labor, to minister to each other in all sorrow, to share with each other in all gladness, to be one with each other in the silent unspoken memories?" -George Eliot

The colors of autumn seemed to harmonize with the antiques and flea market treasures found around every corner in Round Top.
Autumn this year is special for our family...
as our son, 'the editor' will soon marry the love of his life.
So...as family arrives in Austin for wedding festivities all next week...
this MOG will be preparing to partaaaay.

Hopefully, crisp autumn days sprinkled with the colors of the season are part of your plans.

Happy Weekend!
Back to the normal traveling simile program...
after the hugs and kisses good-bye to family and friends are sweet memories.

"...adults dressed up in all of their finery, sipping on champagne & brewskies, dancing, laughing and getting giddy, all in a cow pasture surrounded by miles of heirlooms and antiquities." ~ Cactus Creek

Antique Week in Round Top has been a part of 'the foodie's' life for the last five years spent working her tail off.
Sooooo...
this year, momma helped her experience retail from the other side of the cash register.
More photos next week.
Meanwhile...
this morning...
 it's all about the prom.

The Junk-O-Rama Prom...
where women and a few men give "ode to the forgotten prom dress".

This year the shindig took place beside the Junk Gypsy tent and Zapp Hall in Warrenton where great music...
inspired dancing under the big Texas sky filled with twinkling stars...
and even offered the opportunity
for that prom photo shoot to remember the evening for years to come.
Which will come in handy for many of the attendees who will have a hard time remembering every detail of the night.
Fun times!
Meanwhile,
I leave you with a little Friday Filosophy from Royer's new star...
It was fitting to end day 30 of my Whole30 experience
with a slice of their Junk Berry Pie
topped with Amy's vanilla ice cream of course...
because at Royer's you pay extra
if you don't top your pie with ice cream!
Gotta love it!
Have a wonderful weekend!

"...sweet dreams, junkers…tomorrow begins your soul vacation." ~ Junk Gypsy

Gone shopping...
and the gals at Junk Gypsy...
will be one of the highlights at the Round Top Antiques Fair & Warrenton because they personify coolness...
and are quite the tastemakers with their quirky designs,
but also because of their annual shindig...
the Junk-0-rama Prom.

So by the time you are reading this post...
'the foodie' and I will be junking with the best of them!

Oh yay-ah...
I am so ready to wear that tiara.

Happy Thursday.
