"Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." ~ John Steinbeck

With Siena in the rear view mirror,
our group of four headed to Rome
where Ren Man was able to squeeze in a weekend in paradise
before a week of meetings elsewhere.
We didn't waste anytime before hopping on a train to Naples...
where a driver picked us up.

Tip #1

Skip the thrill of renting a car
and pay someone to give you 'serenity now'.
Parking in Positano is limited to say the least...
and who wants to be too busy squeezing down the narrow streets
to capture the first glimpse of this breathtaking view.

Tip #2
Try your best to spend your sleep time...
where you are welcomed...
each morning...
to breakfast with a view.
Every direction brings a smile...
as you head out for the day.
Like the city itself,
stairs are part of your stay at Buonocore.
Each evening...
the terrace becomes an enchanted place to sit and linger...
and welcome you home.

Tip#3

Get out on the water.
Give them money and the hand off is done!
Ren Man still smiles about how easy this was.
 There are all types...
and sizes of boats...
to get you up and down the Amalfi Coast...
but even amateurs can handle the rib.
Being on the water...
offers views...
of swimming holes...
and small towns along the coast...
accessible by aqueducts and tunnels.
Completely safe for the driver to take his time...
 coveting admiring another man's boat.
(That boat would look great back home at Lago Vista!!!)
Si', a day on the water is a good idea.

Steinbeck, as usual, was exact...
Positano is a dream place that beckons for a return.
