The canons at Fort Cornwallis...
and the Queen Victoria clock tower...
are two remnants of the British rule...
in this natural harbour
at the opening of the Straits of Malacca.

For a birds eye view of George Town...
a climb on foot or funicular train...
 up Penang Hill...
is a perfect place for a cup of coffee.
Our rainy day prevented relaxing on the sun terrace,
 however, was quite cozy inside.

making this lovely building the home of the Penang Island City Council offices.
