In a sweet strawberry stupor,
I refuse to think about how few weeks are left
in the berry season here in Scotland.
I have raved before about strawberries so sweet and red and juicy
that the rest of the year I reluctantly bring home mere imposters.
Fortunately...
there are a few left bearing that Scottish flag
and out at Charleton Fruit Farm, if you hurry,
you can still...
and entertain the entire family.
We felt sorry for took the lazy route and brought home the pre-picked baskets
screaming our name...
and tasting just the same.
Since they freeze beautifully,
hoarding is allowed and encouraged.
