What a way to welcome December to 2012.
Early Saturday morning...
Aberdeen had a dusting of snow and the surrounding countryside was blanketed with a few more flurries,
which made our drive out to pick up our free range Barra Bronze turkey quite an adventure.
As always,
Ren Man chose the smallest roads on the map to survey the land where our turkey may have roamed.
Obviously, no one told them we were picking up one of their relatives...
and the turkeys were downright friendly...
quickly rushing to greet us...
and gobble hello.
The iridescent colors...
shimmering in the sunlight...
are quite remarkable.
