"I shed many a tear when the steam engines went out of style on the railroads. I'd like to see them come back, but I realize the diesels are more efficient." ~ Clyde Tombaugh

Traveling aboard the Jacobite Steam Train...
if you close your eyes...
its like stepping back in time...
the moment you hear the 'chuffing' sound and the whistle blow.
Sometimes its a good thing your eyes are closed to block the...
and sticking your head out of the window for photo ops is not a good idea when chugging along uphill.

In true Scottish style the comfort aboard is...
and all we had to do was sit back...
and enjoy the view of Glenfinnan viaduct.
Does this view look familiar?
This 21 arch viaduct has been used in many films but is most popular as Hogwart Express.
Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles can be seen miles before our arrival into Ft. William where we would spend the evening exploring.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
