Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life

...and if a day all to myself in London wasn't enough, 

Ren Man took a day off for some serious gallavanting around London.

He will admit...

the first stop on 'our', 

okay 'my' list, 

took a little nudge, but once we found the home of Mrs. White

mentioned a few weeks ago...

we realized we had ventured into a...

...and of course, nothing less was expected from Roullier White.

I was so excited to be looking and touching and smelling, photos were completely forgotten.

The neighboring shops were just a bonus to the morning.

Next stop came from 'our' list...

and the best paleo meal of the weekend at Serpetine Bar and Kitchen;

grilled Mackerel over a bed of fennel.

What a paradigm shift from peacefully watching the lovely swans gliding around the lake to the fearful encounter with the menacing creature up close and personal.

Just another day at the lake and Ren Man was blocking the sun!

Which reminds me...

the weekly photo challenge this week is Everyday Life...

and we spotted this guy at our next stop.

Now...

the serendipity of it all is the bag he is holding.

 A book store on Ren Man's list.

Fortunately,

he chose the Daunt Books in Marylebone which for some unknown reason had never appeared in our path before.

Before entering the bookstore, my interest was peaked with the window display of the book...

I am convinced The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared...

is the same guy we saw sitting outside the British Art Fair, holding the Daunt Books bag.

You never know.

He most likely had a book signing at Daunt Books before returning to his life on the run.

Anyway...

I bought the book and will let you know how Allan pulls off the big escape. 

Ren Man can spend hours in a bookstore, as can I...

when there are no other distractions.

One look down Marylebone High Street and I am off.  

We hooked up just in time to enjoy some cool jazz by a guy we heard at Fringe in Edinburgh.

Wouldn't you know it...

our favorite pizza place has a Jazz Club in Soho.
