“i believe in the sun, even when it is not shining. and i believe in love, even when there's no one there. and i believe in God, even when he is silent. i believe through any trial, there is always a way.” ― from an inscription on cellar walls in cologne, germany

Sometimes...
waking up before the sun...
has even thought about rising from its slumber...
this is your reward.

Our incredible journey began...
on a plane...
to Amsterdam where we caught a train...

Germanys 4th largest city,
where a machine at the train station swallowed our bags...
for a few hours...
while we enjoyed the city...

all because Flat Stacie overheard,
(she must speak German)
while we were sharing a large weiner schnitzel for lunch,
exciting news about...

 a museum that sounded interesting...
a chocolate museum.

While walking through town...

we noticed a large number of music stores...
guitars, violins, percussion, pianos...
necessary to support the Cologne University of Music.
The music hall...
is located underground...
and offers an impressive contrast of new and old,
with the cathedral in the background.
Art is around every turn...

and it would take weeks to visit all of the museums...
so we chose the one...
that would provide dessert.

Join me tomorrow...
for a visit to...
The Chocolate Museum.

Have a toasty Tuesday...
it is quite chilly here.
