"Build it and he will come." ~ Field of Dreams

Putrajaya...
the planned city and federal administrative center...
located between Kuala Lumpur and the KL International Airport,
is a development covering nineteen square miles.
When the congestion in KL became an issue, building began in the early 1990's,
and in 1999 the seat of government was shifted to Putrajaya,
 becoming Malaysia's third Federal Territory.
Home of the Prime Minister's office...
and his residence.
Kuala Lumpur remains the nations capital
and the seat of the King and the Parliament.

Government servants have been encouraged
to move to Putrajaya through government subsidy and loan incentives
and as of 2015 the population is over 88,000.
With 38% of Putrajaya dedicated to green space...
and a 600 hectare (1483 acres) lake meandering throughout...
a day of exploring is highly recommended.
The architecture is best viewed from the water...
on one of the many choices of boats.
While the rose tinted granite of Putra Mosque...
is beautiful from afar...
it is best appreciated up close and personal.
Proper attire is provided for visitors...
in order to view the massive interiors
capable of accommodating 10,000 worshipers at a time.

If you need a reason to venture out to Putrajaya,
perhaps you can start training for the...
half marathon, 10k or 5k!!!
