"I am not the same having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world." ~ Mary Anne Radmacher

Somehow,
we always manage to travel during the full moon phase of the month.

Being in a new city is exhilarating enough,
however, there is nothing more intoxicating
than a city under the canopy of a full moon.

Arriving in Siem Reap mid day,
allowed our jet lagged visitor a quick nap...
at our comfie, affordable boutique hotel
before setting out for a walk through town,
as the sunset had its own performance on the Siem Reap River.
The laid back town is actually a cluster of small villages along the river
with a friendly atmosphere...
and easily enjoyed on foot or...
the Cambodian style tuk tuk.
After a cocktail at Miss Wong's,
we wandered through the night market
where you can purchase the pig face on your list.
Meanwhile,
Siem Reap, known as the gateway to the Angkor ruins,
receives its visitors unconditionally,
knowing is is not the main show.

Don't let this quiet humility
keep you from exploring and discovering the tastes and sounds and smiles.
