"...a tiny lane leads 200m towards the Mekong emerging at the excellent OckPopTok Living Crafts Centre, a beautifully laid-out traditionally styled workshop where weavers, spinners and batik makers produce top-quality fabrics." ~ Lonely Planet

Happy 2016!
It's been awhile...
and I have missed our time together.

Meanwhile,
back in Bangkok,
it is winter...
and the temperatures have dipped into the 80's!
It's hard to believe it is almost a year since we first arrived in the land of Sawadee ka
and the warmth of the temperature is matched by the warmth of its people.

Waaaay back last year,
our travels left off in the sleepy town of Luang Prabang, Laos
where the delightful discovery of the Ock Pop Tok Living Crafts Centre
was relived all over again...
as a few loved ones...
opened Christmas gifts...
 handmade by the talented craftswomen...
at this true Living Crafts centre.

Of course...
these guys had to finish their job first.
And, eventually, this happens...
and a sun dried rainbow appears...
start.to.finish.
Fortunately,
there is a place to rest and enjoy a coffee or juice...
while watching the river activity below.
With the promise of meeting a silkworm in person...
the classes offered at the centre are calling my name.
Seriously!
