"Greg: Oh, honesty? You wanna talk about truth and honesty, Jack? Okay, let's talk a little truth and honesty. Let's talk a little "Operation Ko Samui," Jack. Pam: What's he talking about, Dad? Greg: Yeah, that's weird, 'cause I thought there weren't any secrets...inside the circle of trust, Jack. Jack: I don't know what you're talking about. Greg: You don't? Huh? What's the matter? Cat got your tongue? Hey, Pam, guess what. Daddy's planning a little covert operation in Thailand for the day after the wedding." ~ Meet the Parents

Even though it seems like ages ago,
it only been a few months since Ren Man and I had our first Thai island get away.
Our own little "operation Koh Samui".

For some major...
we chose The Library...
where we enjoyed breakfast in bed...
on the beach!

That's what I'm talking about.

The hotel is currently in the middle of a small renovation,
so if you want total peace and quite,
please inquire on the latest developments before booking.

We dusted off our underwater skills...
and headed out to nearby Koh Tao...
with the friendly crew of 100°Degrees East.
So happy we chose a smaller outfit...
as opposed to the larger boats.
A few in our group were scuba diving while we explored with snorkels.
It's been years since Ren Man and I have had the chance
to enjoy the colorful world below the surface...
and by the time we returned to Koh Samui,
a pact had been made for a scuba refresher course.
In search of the sunset,
we went into town for dinner...
and found the perfect spot for observing...
a fisherman's nightly ritual.
As he swam out to sea, pulling a basket...
a net emptied out into the water in search of treasures.
He swam back to shore with an empty basket.
He then patiently pulled the net to shore
and before I knew it,
Ren Man was on his way down to get up close...
for a look at the bounty.
As usual, the sunset did not disappoint.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel...
our evenings are decadently chill...
as music welcomes the darkness.

Our first covert island operation was a success.
Only a few hundred more to go.

I hope your Friday...
is filled with very happy hours.
