One positive fact about these shorter days is the possibility of me enjoying a sunrise.

When the sun follows my sleep schedule, 

a colorful sky like this one captured by a friend...

can actually be the backdrop for my morning coffee.

As the temperature drops and the sun exits the stage a bit earlier each day,

 it becomes time to embrace the darkness with twinkle lights and firelight.
