"To rejoice in life, to find the world beautiful ... was a mark of the Greek spirit..." ~ Edith Hamilton

We left Agistri refreshed and renewed...
with a little color in our cheeks and not a worry in our heads.
Fotis was at the ferry dock to pick us up when we returned to the mainland,
ready to show us a bit more of his Greece.

We drove south, through the neighborhoods along the coast of Piraeus,
urban sprawl that it is...
where there seems to be one boat for every family
docked outside cafes or lined up in the countless marinas...
just waiting for someone to climb aboard.
Further south, we arrived in the town of Vouliagmeni where the nearby hot springs...
offer 75 degree temperatures year-round.
Elderly Athenians flock here for its therapeutic cures.
The mud pack facial sounds amazing and worth the half hour drive south of Athens, but will have to wait until we return.

Like the waters of the Saronic Gulf...
it is crystal clear that Greece could become a habit.
