“There was a mysterious chasm between this island and the greater world, just like there was between old and young, ancient and new.” ― Ann Brashares, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Our water chariot to the island of Agistri...
was the fastest way possible...
the hydrofoil,
The ferry is the perfect vehicle to carry passengers across the chasm that separates the carefree island life from the stresses of the rest of the world.
Those of you with major stress might need to take the slower ferry...
so those pesky drains of life...
like deadlines...
 and traffic...
and anything having to do with a schedule...
or needing to think about time for that matter...
will fall and sink into the sea.
There is a car ferry that services the island as well
or you can get off at Aegina and take the water taxi...
to the harbor of Milos or Skala, Agistri (Agkistri)
I am not kidding.
The passengers disembarking on the island
looked pounds lighter than the ones who had boarded back in Piraeus.

We were greeted at the harbor by Rosy's husband,
who whisked us off to their family run 'village by the sea'...
where a view like this...
and mornings like this...
were ours for a few days.

You can see why Rosy's Little Village...
is a treasure waiting to be discovered.

Our very own...
and paradise enjoyed.
You might want to go ahead and click on her link above...
for some ambiance music while reading the rest of this post.
I'm just sayin'.
The fact that Rosy offers the best food on the island makes leaving unnecessary but since it is one of those places where relaxing is at the top of the list,
and everyone relaxes in a different way...
you have options.
When you aren't lounging on the sun terrace,
you might be...
taking in the beauty of the islands by kayak...
or on a bike...
all provided by Rosy.

Rosy and her team are there to help in any way if wanted,
but otherwise you are free to roam and rest at your leisure.

This place is at the top of our list for a quick get away,
(while living in the UK, a longer visit will be necessary from the US)
because sometimes,
all you want to do is read a good book,
eat good food,
and drink your morning coffee
with views of crystal blue waters as far as your eyes can see.

Happy Tuesday
