"Now, near the Winter Solstice, it is good to light candles. All the nice meanings of bringing light to the world can be beautiful. But perhaps we are concentrating on lighting the world because we don't know how to light up our own lives. " ~ Ralph Levy

Ha-lle-lu-jah!

Do you know what today is?
December 21st is the very last day of shorter daylight hours...
Winter Solstice,
when the sun shines directly over the Tropic of Capricorn way down in Australia,
which explains where our sunlight has been hangin' out.

The Celtics would find a mountaintop,
build a fire,
and dance all night in celebration of the returning light.
It definitely makes me feel like dancing the happy dance.

Yessirree, starting tomorrow we will gain a few seconds each day until before long...voila...
sun-induced happy days.

Meanwhile, it is still cold and rainy here in Scotland...
so I leave you with happy Christmas thoughts...
and a sing along with Buddy and Jovi.

We are off to Chamonix, where mountain tops await for us to dance the Winter Solstice dance.

Happy Weekend!
