“Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper.” ~ Oscar Wilde

What's a woman to do with an entire day to herself in London?
Silly question!
For me...
it began with a brisk walk across the corner of Hyde Park right into the Knightbridge area where two of my favorite mega shops offer eye candy for the girl who has all the time in the world.
Not to be confused with all the money in the world!

Harvey Nichols is always...
and I was looking forward to trying this tea, but alas, it has a wee bit of sugar syrup...
 another time.
Just watching the process was entertaining in itself and the nearby cafe whipped me up an incredible paleo friendly salad.

After the luxury of meandering through every floor, I was off to Harrods...
another fashion filled maze where I am actually getting better at finding my way back to the epicenter of the megastore...
the Egyptian escalators.

Shopping can wear you out...
so I popped into the Urban Retreat and my face left very happy.

A new discovery this trip was the...
a store best portrayed on its Facebook page and its Instagrams
but well known for its online shopping.

The interiors of the Tudor building has small 'homey' rooms surrounding three light wells to give the feel of walking around your own home.  Some rooms still have the original fireplaces.

The impressive fabric department and the Christmas Shop...

are reminders of Liberty's humble beginnings when Arthur Liberty sold only fabric, ornaments and art objects from the far east.

RE-found Objects has a small creative space within Liberty and was a pleasant surprise as I reached the landing of yet another floor.

This amazing home accessories store has a much larger shop located in Corbridge, England and was the destination of one of our 'girls only' road trips back in January.

Meanwhile...
it became apparent that return visits to this store are required to feel completely 'at home'.

Happy Tuesday.
