"Duthie Park is a park of 44 acres which was donated to the city by Miss Duthie in 1880 and opened to the public in 1883." ~ Aberdeen City Council

Almost Spring is the perfect time of year
to kick off the...
'My Aberdeen Mondays',
on account of the crocuses beginning to open their eyes along hillsides throughout the city.

Ren Man and I headed to a park overlooking the River Dee.

Finding only patches of crocuses throughout Duthie Park...
with most of them waiting, like rainy day friends,
only different,

the grey day was much brighter inside the
where one of Europe's largest indoor gardens
 welcomes you...

 with free admission
and warm walks through flora and fauna

 from around the world.

While there I couldn't help notice
children dragging their parents towards the desert,
where...
named Spike...
awaits to have a chat.

A nice, kid-friendly surprise
amongst the largest collection of cacti in Britian.

Happy Monday.
