“…the whole of Paris is a vast university of Art, Literature and Music…it is worth anyone’s while to dally here for years. Paris is a seminar, a post-graduate course in Everything.” ~ James Thurber

Our weary heads rested comfortably at
located in a trendy area along the shores of the
Canal St. Martin.

We were greeted on arrival
with a coffee to get the day started...

and breakfast was provided each morning...
in a multi purpose area...
with books for reading

and a friendly staff with suggestions for lunch or dinner.

Just across the canal...
sitting inside a pop-up Bensimon store...
a pair of shoes that have been calling my name
ever since they were mentioned
in a summer post of A Cup of Jo
were the perfect warm-up for a successful shopping day in Paris.

Once inside...
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that sneakers are only a small part of the Bensimon shopping experience.
Love their website!

Seems these pop-up stores are trendy as well...
however, next door was a very cool, non-pop-up design bookstore...
Another fan, Oh Happy Day,
shares her photos of this amazing place where you can buy polaroid film...
among many other interesting items.

What I love most about Paris
is its multiple personalities
and ending up at Le Citizen with the canal its front door...
allowed us to experience a different area
we would have never ventured to on our own.

Strangely enough...
the two blogs referred to in this post...
have both recently mentioned Haven in Paris...
a vacation rental agency.

Perhaps we will try them out on our next visit!

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
